“How to Keep It UP-RIGHT” Motorcycle Rider Safety Program – 16th January 2022

January 16, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm AEST

$50.00

The “How to keep it UP-RIGHT” Motorcycle Rider Safety Program is a full day training course for motorcycle riders run in association with the Queensland Police Service and based on our highly successful SMART Rider Roadcraft course.

The day begins with a classroom session where we will share some valuable and practical information with you, and after a morning tea break we’ll take you on a road ride through some of the best motorcycling roads in the Logan region.

Riding in small groups you will get personal attention and feedback from one of our experienced instructors that will improve your skills and enjoyment of riding.

Some of the things you will learn by spending a day with us are:

  • how you can improve your control over your motorcycle by understanding some basic vehicle dynamics;
  • how your brain and vision work together to improve your riding;
  • why other road users don’t see you and what you can do about it;
  • how to recognise when one of those “Uh Oh” moments is about to happen, and how to prevent it; and
  • how to choose the best riding gear.

Most importantly you’ll learn how you can maximise your riding enjoyment while minimising your risks.

Why train with us?

If you’ve done any other training with us at the SMART Rider Academy you know we’re very good at delivering a different and very effective approach to motorcycle training.

Our core team all have over 20 years of riding experience (some of us are pushing 40 years – yikes!) and most have 20+ years of experience as instructors. Our team is selected not just on their riding and training capabilities, but more importantly on their attitude and ability to bring out the best in you. You won’t find a huge ego anywhere in our team, and that ensures that you feel comfortable when you’re with us.

Over the last 20 years we’ve worked closely with Queensland Transport and Main Roads, Queensland Police Service, motorcycle clubs, road safety and advisory groups, and delivered training to organisations across Australia and internationally.

We’ve developed a reputation as a source of consistently reliable motorcycle education content and our company was acknowledged with a prestigious international award in 2020 for the “Best Motorcycle Safety Education Platform – Australia”.
