DESCRIPTION:  👍  Improved Skills\n  👍  Reduced Risks\n  👍  Greater Confidence\n  😃  MORE FUN\n \nYou already know how to ride but maybe you want to be better\, improve your skills\, and ride with more confidence.\n \n“How to keep it UP-RIGHT” is designed to empower riders like you with the knowledge and techniques to ride on our roads safely while enjoying every twist and turn more. You will learn essential roadcraft skills – the very skills that professional riders use to recognise and avoid hazards\, and to keep it UP-RIGHT!\n \nCourse outline:\n0830 – 0900: Welcome and registration\n0900 – 1015: Training room\n  • Roadcraft and observation skills • Common errors riders make and strategies to eliminate them • Skills and strategies to deal with hazards and other road users • Safe and effective lane filtering\n1015 – 1030: Morning tea\n1030 – 1130: Training room\n  • Cornering lines • Braking techniques • Group riding • Q & A\n1130 – 1215: Practical\n  • Posture and bike setup • Vehicle dynamics • Slow manoeuvring\, braking and cornering skills • Riding with a pillion\n1215 – 1300: Lunch\n1300 – 1315: Road ride briefing and basic maintenance\n1315 – 1530: Road ride\n  • Conducted in small groups (maximum 5 riders) under the guidance of our coaches and QPS Highway Patrol officers.\n1530 – 1545: Road ride debrief\n1545 – 1600: Day concludes\n \nWhat to bring:\n  • Registered and roadworthy motorcycle with enough fuel to ride 100km\n  • Hat\n  • Water bottle\n  • Lunch (or there are options close by)\n  • Happy smiley face and willingness to have fun and learn a few things\n \n“How to keep it UP-RIGHT” is subsidised by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads Motorcycle Ride to Zero Grants and run with the support of Queensland Police Service\, which means the course fees are just $50! Riders must hold a current open\, provisional or probationary RE or R licence to be eligible for the course.\n \nOver 1\,400 people have now participated in this course and many have told us they now feel more skilled\, more relaxed on the bike and ride with greater awareness and confidence.\n \nAnd for 2024 the course has been revised to include sessions on maintenance\, group riding and riding with a pillion. So if you’re one of our 1\,400 previous riders there’s still something new for you in our 2024 course\, and we’d love to see to again – and why not bring a friend! 😃\n \nHere’s what some of our previous participants told us:\n \n“Motorcycle riding is my happy place.
