- Do you panic at the thought of doing a U-Turn?
- Is it easier to ride around the block or find a roundabout?
- Or have you ever dropped a bike at low speed in a car park or even your own driveway?
Guess what – you are NOT alone!
And if you ride with a pillion those skills AND MORE are critical to actually having the enjoyment that 2-up riding promises …. but many of us rarely experience.
If you’ve been looking for a way to take the fear out of slow manoeuvres or riding with a pillion then we can help.
We’re having a special “invitation only” workshop on Sunday 24th November at Redcliffe.
This workshop is designed to help riders build confidence, control, and mastery of their motorcycles at slow speeds – with or without a pillion passenger.
The 6 hour session focuses on essential techniques and promises to improve your balance, manoeuvring and safe pillion handling, all while prioritising rider and passenger comfort and confidence.
The day will start in the carpark at Redcliffe Showgrounds working on skills and we’ll conclude with a ride over Mt Mee to Dayboro.
Who is going to benefit from this workshop?
- Riders who want to improve their slow-speed control skills.
- Riders looking to gain confidence and skill when riding with a pillion passenger.
- Motorcyclists who want a refresher in slow-speed manoeuvring techniques.
What will we cover?
- Throttle, clutch and rear brake control
- Posture and counterbalancing at slow speeds
- Navigating obstacles at low speeds
- Mastering tight turns at slow speeds
And if you’re bringing a pillion you will also learn:
- Mounting and dismounting
- Dynamics of riding with a passenger
- Weight distribution and balance
- Slow manoeuvring with a pillion
